Milo Baughman, born in Kansas, said “Furniture that is too obviously designed is very interesting, but too often belongs only in museums.” Baughman is most known for his famous, Milo chair. Baughman’s pieces mixed functionality with modern designs based off of Mies Van der Rohe and Marcel Breuer. The Milo chair can be identified by its use of a metal frame, upholstered arms and a seat covered in leather or velvet. I just got my first set of Milo chairs into the store TODAY! They are a gold frame and upholstered in Black Velvet. Well, I’m obsessed. I think I might have to get a pair for my living room!
