Stripes are a quick way to turn a basic room into a show stopper. If you are brave enough to do big bold stripes then go for it. You can always paint over it if you don’t like it. For those who want the look but aren’t so brave, try the tone on tone stripe. Earlier this year I designed a nursery for a client with 14″ gloss white stripes on flat white walls. You got the effect of the stripes but in a very subtle way.  Also fun in a nursery — bold stripes on the ceiling!
